For its 40th anniversary, New Caledonian airline Aircalin entrusted Walla Studio with creating its brand film. This ambitious project aimed to celebrate this major milestone while highlighting the acquisition of its new A320neo aircraft, symbols of its environmental commitment.

Built around a poetic narration by local artist Paul Wamo, the film adopts a patchwork structure where the flower (Aircalin's symbol) becomes the visual thread of the story. This creative approach blends real footage with complex visual effects to represent Aircalin's entire Pacific network.

The project required three months of production, with most of the filming taking place in New Caledonia, plus a few days in New Zealand and Singapore. Post-production presented a major technical challenge with 56 VFX shots out of the film's total 77 shots, requiring rigorous methodology to simultaneously manage filming and visual effects creation.

My contribution: From conception to final delivery, I oversaw all creative and technical aspects of the project. In response to the tender, I developed the concept and created the storyboard. After participating in the text writing and casting, I handled the cinematography (framing, lighting) and co-directed the film. In post-production, I was responsible for editing, visual effects, sound design, and color grading.

This film enjoyed international multi-channel distribution: cinema, television, web, social media, in-flight entertainment systems, as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
